Derby was Co-owned by Daniel Still and Ashley R. through her Championship.

Derby was owner-handled through half of her show career, including one major, by Dr. Daniel Still.

Derby's Health-Testing:  Cardiologist OFA-NORMAL-No Murmur.  Cardiologist Echo-NORMAL Flow Rates:  Aortic Valve Flow Rate-1.6m/sec & Pulmonic Valve Flow Rate-1.2m/sec. 

Her 24 hour Holter monitor revealed 78 PVC's (no runs or pairs) and 7 Ventricular Escaped Beats.  The Cardiologist says that this suggests she may have myocardial disease or could be due to inflammation, electrolyte or endocrine abnormalities (low thyroid levels).  It cannot be explained from where these ventricular arrhythmias originated, so we just have to be cautious.  Derby has been put on a heart medication (Sotalol) to see if it will correct these premature beats, and further testing is being done.  Once all of Derby's health testing is complete, she will probably be health cleared.  But due to this issue, her co-owner, Ashley, has asked that Derby not be bred.  We have decided to honor these wishes and are no longer mutual owners of Derby with Ashley.  Derby is to be spayed by Ashley and live with her as a pampered pet.
